Blip sorted early

First thing I saw out of the window this morning was the sharp low angled sun shining on dark clouds to the west. There was even a shower of rain resulting in a rainbow which didn't really make an impact on a photo.

It was a day in the garden and garden related. I had a visit to the Doctor's first thing, a two hour wait at the drop in surgery - at least you can see a doctor when you need to without having to wait a couple of weeks for an appointment.

From then on it was mostly garden stuff. Picking up and sorting loads of windfall apples, mowing the grass while Susan cleared the ever growing Virginia Creeper off next door's fence and deadheaded the annuals and collected a pot full of dried lavender flowers.

While she was finishing off, I started juicing another trug of apples. Made the same quantity today as on Tuesday. Bottled Tuesday's batch which is now in the freezer.

We did find time for a walk, ending up at the allotment to pick another large tub of raspberries, some runner and dwarf beans and some beetroot.

Booked a flight to Los Angeles to see Chris and Landon next January. Seems like a good deal.

Nice to have the blip done by 7.30am.
