An ordinary life....

Gill...

Backblipped

Can someone please press the pause button? Time seems to be running at warp speed!

Gill popped up to see Alan this afternoon. He adores her and misses their mad adventures together. I, on the other hand, have a few less grey hairs than I would have had if Gill hadn’t retired. What a team they were. Trouble wherever they went! I’m just delighted that she’s become a good friend and we still see her.

After her mutual admiration session with Alan, I headed off with her to Broadslap for lunch. Unfortunately they’re back to winter hours so were closed. Back to Delivinos for a lovely lunch of their grazing platter - cold meat, cheese, olives, crusty bread and hummus. Yum.

After Gill dropped me off I spent the rest of the day and evening preparing for Esme’s cake smash photoshoot.

I’ve watched loads of You Tube videos and all the children sit beautifully looking a bit bewildered by the cake before tentatively touching the icing with a hesitant finger. I can’t help but feel this won’t be my experience with Esme. She’s been walking since she was 10 months (she’ll be one on Sunday) so is fast and confident on her feet, and she loves her food, so I suspect she’ll be straight into the cake!!!

Should be fun :-)))
