Autumn by the river

I love this view of the River Massan at all times of the year, but today, with the huge horse chestnut tree perfectly demonstrating the attributes of autumn it was especially lovely. (The conkers were pretty good too. I'll put an extra up.)

Today began so grey and dreary that I could hardly believe the sunshine in the afternoon. I dragged myself out to Pilates in the morning, and felt so exhausted by planks and abdominal strengthening that I lapsed into a stupor over coffee - but the sun changed all and off we went to walk among the most beautiful colours that will drive me to a second extra photo - a completely unfiltered, unedited picture of one of several fulsome rowan trees, all the more dramatic because the leaves have all but vanished.

And then home, to the wonderfully fierce Greta Thunberg on the telly and the farcical behaviour of the Labour Party.
