Nicky and her Nikon

Stew Pond

This morning we had our last training session for Xena - well the last with the original training school, she still has training with the local trainer every Thursday for another few weeks. After the session there was a group photo and a certificate was awarded.  One of the doggy parents had brought in a cake for the dogs, made with pumpkin puree, peanut butter and flour and decorated with dog bone shaped biscuits. It was a very kind gesture of her to make it and share it amongst the dogs. I did not give Xena any due to it having flour in it, I like to keep her diet grain free. (spoil sport I know but I am fussy about her diet)

After training we went to the local cafe where Thomas is working for some coffee and a light lunch - Thomas was on duty and served us! That did feel a bit strange.

This afternoon we went for a walk at a new place for Xena, where I took this photo of the pond. There were many fishermen sitting around the pond and as they use dog food for bait Xena was very interested in what they were doing! We had to move her along away from the fishermen.

Thomas worked all day and is now going out with friends tonight, so Gavin and I will walk to the local pub for a quick supper tonight. It will be a pleasure not to cook!

Tomorrow we have a dog walk arranged with Xena's sister and older half brother. Unfortunately the forecast is for rain all day but you never know, it may hold off until after our walk.
