COSY KOSI - PINKTOBER 6

We had a great service at Church today, celebrating Bible Sunday and learned lots of new facts from Stephen, who was preaching - or should I say “nuggets, gems and pearls” - his words.  I realise that some might wonder about the timing, as it is really Bible Sunday on 27th October, but this fitted in better with our sermon series, hence celebrating it today.

It was lovely to see this little family again today and especially Kosi, who had only weighed 2.1 kg (4lbs 10oz) when he was born in mid-June, but now weighs in at a whopping 7.6kg (16lbs 8oz) - no wonder his Mum has to transport him in a baby carrier now!  He is obviously a very contented baby, who looked very cosy snuggled up next to his Mum and I thought that his cute little pink lips qualified him for this Pinktober 6 photograph.

I did take some other photographs - and they are in a collage as an extra.  At the top is Mum, Chi, who always looks beautiful and so serene.  At the bottom left, Ngoze’s facial expression is interesting - she obviously didn’t like the custard cream biscuit but was obviously too polite just to spit it out!  Kosi is at the top right and I also took a photograph of mine and Ngoze’s shoes, and you can see there is plenty of pink, at least in her shoes.

Babies seem to grow so quickly, so it’s good to be able to take photographs and see the results immediately - not like it was when ours were small, when the film often stayed in the camera for many months, and then, after waiting for them to be developed - often because we couldn’t afford to pay to have this done, there were disappointing shots with double exposures, camera shake and cut-off heads.  Ngoze definitely wanted to see the outcome of my shots straight away.
