Looking up

Yet another full on day.  It was cloudy this morning so I didn't swim.  then it was off to B.I.G. for breakfast and then an enforced lull as we didn't have to be for lunch until 12.30.  Lunch was at WH's Uncle David's house north of KL in Sungai Serai, Kuang.  It was an open house for CNY and quite a few of WH's aunts and cousins were there.  Wine was drunk and traditional home made Chinese food was eaten.  It was great to meet up with the family again and very enjoyable.

Then to the National Mosque, which was closed for some administrative meeting.  instead we crossed over the road to the Islamic Arts Museum.  Olivia would rather have gone to the Bird Park.

When we got home they went next door to stay with Fang whist the rest of us got ready to go to Marini's for an adult dinner.  Marini's 57 is on the 57th floor of the Petronas 3 tower with a great view of the Twin Towers and the KL Tower. We had a walk round KLCC Park first and the 3 lifts to he bar and restaurant.  It was a special, and not cheap, evening.  The views are tremendous and the attention from the waiters outstanding, even if some of it was a trifle OTT.  Great bread, olives on a tree amuse bouche, petits fours with the coffee (we  didn't have dessert) and a cookie to take home for breakfast.  Coffee was taken in the part of the bar with the open roof and great view of the neighbouring Twin Towers. It was a lovely, and memorable, evening
