Laburnum Arch

A slow morning.  TT and I eventually headed out for some shopping which included a new toaster and a new kettle.  The kettle gave up the ghost during the week and the toaster has been half dead for longer than we can remember.

Later we went to a barbeque.  Not something usually associated with February, and not on a day when a storm is approaching.  We had a lovely time, sheltered in the conservatory, while our hosts braved the elements to cook.  Once we were fed, they gave up on the outdoors, and we enjoyed lots of chat, chocolate and never empty glasses indoors, while it was blowing a hoolie outside.  We lost all track of time, but were home by 9pm-ish.

I spent the rest of the evening snoozing on the sofa, it’s becoming a habit – while TT watched The Wire.

The laburnum arch in winter, with aconites.
