14032020 1st Corona isolation day

Today we received new orders. From Monday morning 8 am all travel is restricted. We can only go out to buy food, go to work (those who have to) and go to pharmacy or see a doctor. We are the lucky ones with dogs as we can go walk with dogs. You can do any activity outside your house if it's not necessary.

So today's been more or less getting used to being home bound. Seeing the rise of numbers: at the moment we have 6251 cases and 189 cured and 189 deaths. I'm happy to avoid other humans. Some people are so irresponsible.

So dogs are getting one more walk that they are used to. We go with them 4 times a day now, just to get some activity to our own bodies too. They are not complaining. We also walked to our near by store. To our amazement there was food! No fresh produces left, but fresh bread, and all rest except eggs. Those were gone. At the near by mall all the grocery stores were emptied by the crowds that were waiting to get in 30 minutes before the stores opened. So our little-bit-hidden store is a gem. It's slightly pricier, but also free of crowds. Safe choice.

It's really getting into your head that you can't go anywhere. I would like to go to the beach. Can't do. Can't go walk on the Clot (dogs not allowed). Can't hike. Can't cycle. It's a real test for patience.

If you might find yourself in this situation in the coming weeks and have wished to have time to do some renovations in the house, go buy the stuff you need. The home isolation, if you are not sick, is a perfect time to execute your wishes.

BTW, yesterday we both had sore throats. You can only imagine the thoughts we had in our heads. Luckily this morning we were both okay. The soreness came back for me after our morning walk, so it must be due to pollen and not corona virus. But it was a scary day yesterday.
