Mono Monday - Observe

See the doting glances being cast upon the unaware observed...

It's all getting quite serious now, and perhaps this is the last trip to Westonbirt for a while... we decided a wander around the arboretum probably counted as social distancing but of course we weren't alone in thinking that - the car park was full. However, the woods are large enough to cope.

Charlie's trip to Ethiopia is of course sadly canned, not least because one of the group is now showing signs of infection. But not only can't she go on her trip, she can't currently even get back to her home in Germany. Oh well, we've fed her for many years already...

I'm beginning the process of canning our summer Druid Camp. It's sad but given so many of us are elderly and or vulnerable, getting together in a field with composting toilets and tented catering doesn't play well. There'll have to be a formal decision, but it'll just be one more disappointment in the year nothing went right™

With my Parish Council head on I'm looking at what we are able to do in the community. Someone suggested putting a notice in the windows of vulnerable people's homes! That's not a great idea, but we may instead leaflet the whole village and act as a single point of contact for helpers.

As one of the vulnerable though, and being married to another one, is this just a way to get my shopping done? ;-) Nah, I shall be socially distancing on two wheels, while I can. At least nowadays I can fill up at unattended petrol stations...
