The Brayford

I overslept this morning! Once up and ready I went off to town to collect my medication from Boots. They had squares taped up a metre apart on the floor and instructions to stand in them to queue. Did people follow the advice? No, of course they didn't!

Even more baffling, I was taking a close-up photo of something by a tree at the side of the High Street, standing a couple of feet away from the tree with the entire pedestrianised expanse of the street behind me and a guy actually walked between me and the tree! He nearly knocked the camera from my hand!

I didn't even use the photo in the end, as I prefer this one of the Brayford!

When I came home it was time to get on with the cleaning  - the kitchen this week. It went OK until it came to the pan cupboard, and I had an unpleasant encounter with a creepy spider. That put me off!

I also caught a button on the oven when cleaning the outside of it, and messed up its functioning - as I discovered when it was time to cook our evening meal. It involved some frozen roast potatoes and parsnips, and they were nowhere near cooked when they should have been - in fact they were still partially frozen! So we ended up having a takeaway. I had cooked part of a meal, so I still had cooking pots to wash along with the cost of a takeaway!

This week the cooker, last week the bathroom shelves - how wise is this cleaning mallarkey?
