Wise old owl

To add a little spice to the day we swapped morning and afternoon activities. This was so that we could take part in a virtual Rock Choir class using the Zoom app.

Generally the technology worked well; the sound tracks faded in and out and you couldn’t hear the other participants although you could see them.

I sowed some peas, broad beans and leeks after making a space in the shed. That’s another job to do: sort and tidy the shed. We have zillions of pots that are taking over the world. I’m sure they’re breeding in the shed.

We walked this afternoon, calling in at the local butchers for a joint of beef for Sunday. Only one or two people waiting outside. We had to remind a teenager to keep her two metres, so engrossed was she with her phone.

Walking back through the Woodland Trust I spotted this owl with wearing specs. No I didn’t put them on the owl. I’m wondering if the specs had been lost or someone put them on for a joke. A welcome and appropriate joke it was too. I’ve blipped these carvings before. Never a problem to blip them again, especially with specs, flying owl and brilliant blue sky.
