An ordinary life....

Imitation...

is the sincerest form of flattery.  More on that below :-)

I honestly can't believe this is the 1st July!  I don't know how, but lockdown seems to have made time speed up!  And as if that wasn't bad enough.  A friend reminded us all on Facebook this morning that it's 33 years ago today, since Scott and Charlene got married!!  Wow!  Hahahahahaha!

But I discovered an even bigger shocker than that later on...today is Debbie Harry's 75th birthday!  How can that possibly be?   It was a real head scratcher this morning, till I realised that it's 40 years this year since I was painting on my Debbie Harry pout and dancing to this at the Youth Club disco!

Happy Birthday Debbie.  Kate Bush may be my first musical female love, but you are my close second.  And still delivering the goods in 2017!

In other news, new watercolour paper arrived today and although I was supposed to be spending the bulk of the afternoon clearing up my art table, I couldn't resist trying the paper, and ended up painting this little landscape.

It's about 8" x 8" and is my version of a painting by one of my favourite Scottish artists, Deborah Phillips.

I used a different set of watercolour paints.  I usually use Windsor and Newton professional watercolour paint in tubes but this was a paint box by Daler-Rowney that I've had for about 20 years, and really enjoyed the colours.

Of course I painted up until dinner was dished and once I upload this I have a FaceTime call with Ele lined up then I have to do my online Tesco order for delivery tomorrow, so the art table lives in chaos for another day!

Oh!  Almost forgot THE best news of the day!  Got a text from my hairdresser Linda this afternoon and she's coming to cut my hair on 23rd July!   THREE WEEKS TOMORROW!  Woo hoo!  The countdown has begun! :-)))
