UNEXPECTED ABSTRACT

Being a Blipper, I am always on the lookout for what would make a good Blip although I admit that sometimes for the challenges, I don’t look at the theme until after I have taken a shot.  However, today, for Abstract Thursday, I did look before I started taking photographs.

Whilst waiting for the man to come to prune our cherry tree - and unfortunately, he said he would be a little late, I was clearing up in the kitchen and having done a few bits of washing up, tipped out the bowl of soapy water and of course, there were patterns in the sink.  They were a bit boring, so I shook up the washing up liquid bottle to see if I could make something of it.  That wasn’t very good, so I then poured some washing up liquid into the bowl, let the tap run and took more photographs and found it made a pleasing abstract and quite unexpected.  After a little bit of fartnarkling, who knew that a simple thing like washing up liquid and water could look so good?

So here is my effort for today - hope the bright colours cheer you up - here it is grey and quite cold, so I am wearing a jumper - no chance of putting the heating on - and this will be short and sweet as my hands are very cold and I can’t type as well.

Hope you all have a great Thursday - and that the sun will shine on you - I especially hope that it will shine on Heidi whilst she is camping!  I hope it warms up a tad before this afternoon because I am going to meet a friend for coffee in her garden - I may need gloves, a hat and scarf if the weather doesn’t improve!

“There is no abstract art.
You must always start with something.
Afterward you can remove all traces of reality.”
Pablo Picasso

P.S.  Sadly the tree was diseased, so we were advised it might be better to take it down.  I took lots of photographs, as you might imagine - and it's much lighter in the garden now and at least we know it's not likely to fall and hurt us if we are working out there.  Thanks Martin for your good advice and work.
