Muscovy Duck

I think. Could be a hybrid. They've been known to interbreed with mallards. And it does look rather scruffy.

After Basil and I had circled Charnwood Water, I couldn't find it again.

I did also see a dragonfly and a Painted Lady but wasn't able to get photos.

Not as crowded in the car park as last time when we still had lockdown restrictions and the area has really benefited from the rain. Last time the ground was incredibly dry.

Goslings are coming along being shepherded across the water by proud parents.

The weather has turned sunny and it's begun to get warmer.
