Fish ‘n’ Chips!

Becky and Daniel came to take Archie out this morning. JR went for a run. I read the Sunday papers online.

We sat out in the front garden and had lots of passers by and visitors. Our neighbours borrowed the hedge trimmer (the proper one), Robert passed by and was spotted by an excited Archie, our neighbours who are leaving filled us in on their plans and we suggested a farewell barbecue in the back garden.

Later on, we popped round (in the car) to visit our pal Mary before taking Archie up the hill. Unfortunately, Mary is bed-bound, having fallen and hurt her back during the week. Poor wee soul. She’s going to the hospital tomorrow. She has a big family who are looking after her needs.

Back home - JR and Archie walked - I drove. They met up with Christine, one of JR’s gym pals whom we haven’t seen for ages, so she came into the back garden for a wine. Then another wine. In fact, we then got peckish (and the afternoon morphed into the evening) so we ordered fish and chips from the local chippie. Very nice too. Archie got a biscuit. But he didn’t get any fish n chips. (Extra)

A most pleasant evening was had, though we eventually had to move inside, it was quite parky. Though I suspect that the Meadows are still mobbed with litter louts.
