Borrowmeadow

The circuit at Borrowmeadow has become, in places, really overgrown. It's also infested with giant hogweed which you can see in the top right corner. There are forests of it and it will get worse unless there's a concerted effort to eradicate it. In places it was uncomfortably near the track but we managed to avoid it. Other than that invasive pest the area is growing wonderful wildflowers and attracting scores of birds, bees, butterflies and other bugs. We were the only people walking the circuit. You can see retired blipper Cameraman pioneering through the grass and flowers. Flora was submerged.

The extra shows how we rewarded ourselves after the walk. So good to be back at a favourite nearby place for a coffee and sandwich. Mine was goat cheese, spinach and walnut with a tomato chutney on gf. Cameraman had his usual breakfast sandwich even though it was lunchtime.

Home for gardening. I've planted a gravel garden in an old bread bin which I'm sure will be blipped sometime. I've also cleared out an old geranium and planted a few other things in its place. It'll come back again as it's impossible to get all the roots up but I'll try to keep it in check.

It's Friday again and time to wish everyone a safe and enjoyable weekend.
