Quiet Sunday

It’s been a strange day. The winds have been fierce all day long. As soon as the sun comes out, dark clouds smother it. At times it’s comfortable, but most of the time it’s chilly. If I add a layer, I’m too warm, without it, I’m cold • Not many birds around either. They’re likely huddled together watching their tree house sway back and forth. Thankfully our two hummers are still with us, frequenting the feeder that we relocated two weeks ago. They have not yet visited the second feeder I placed in the yard on Saturday • We picked a few grape tomatoes, a zucchini and one delicata squash today. The rain yesterday really perked up our broccoli and rutabaga plants • That’s about it other than boring old housework • Wind, wind, go away, please come again another day...
