Seascape

Not the one that was planned. Today we should have been sailing round the Kyles of Bute on Waverley. The altercation with Brodick Pier on Thursday meant that was not to be. So it was easy that we headed, not west.

First I had a quick 3km gallop on foot round the Braids loop to make room for the ginormous lunch. Then after an abortive attempt to speak to Olivia (Amelia had her Mum's phone - nuff said) we set off down the coast avoiding cyclists, families and dogs. Strolls in the sun at Archerfield and N Berwick (which was hoochin') and then back to Gullane for very long and abstemious lunch at the Bonnie Badger. The sea theme continued: oysters, mackerel and lobster.

Stop in Aberlady to enjoy the reflections in the mill pond calm water and then home via Haddington.

Not quite the day out we'd planned but very enjoyable nevertheless in the bright, warm early autumn sun.
