SILLY INSTRUCTIONS

I was expecting a few parcels today from Amazon and it was hard to keep up with the deliveries as they were coming from 4 different couriers - Amazon, Hermes, Yodel and the Royal Mail.  I kept getting tracking messages and in the end I just gave up trying to keep up to date.  All of the packages arrived safely which was the main thing.

One of the items was a 60 litre bag of compost and I was amused to read the instructions on the box.  Apparently I am supposed to store it in the freezer.  Good job I know differently.  Its not actually Silly Saturday but I did think this was a really silly message.

I finally sampled those poached eggs I blipped a couple of weeks ago.  I can report they were very nice.  See Extra.  I had them for my breakfast with bacon, mushrooms and tomatoes.

I've had a quiet day at home as the weather has been dull and rainy. Just watched a bit of recorded TV including an interesting programme about the life of Agatha Christie.

It was footie this evening.  8pm kick off. Newcastle were playing at home to Manchester United.  The game was on Sky - but it was on Pay Per View which meant paying £14.95 to watch it. No way I was going to do that so I listened on Radio Newcastle.  Newcastle got off to a good start as Manchester scored an own goal.  But things didn't continue in that positive mode. Apart from the Newcastle goalie saving a penalty things went from bad to worse for Newcastle.  The final score was Newcastle 1 Manchester United 4.

I've recorded Strictly and I'm going to watch that now.
