Kit 'copter

As I was getting out of the car after our afternoon walk I heard an unusual-sounding aircraft approaching. I grabbed the camera and got the above shot. I'd never seen a helicopter like it before. I quite like the look of it.

It transpires that it is a RotorWay Executive, an American design which was sold as a kit. The Executive is no longer in production but its successor the Talon is imported by a local firm. They're partially built in the UK and the new owners then spend 800 to 900 hours completing them. They fly on standard unleaded motor fuel.
