New Week #2

I, er, haven't had the chance to blip for a week, so have some catching up to do. It's just taken me a few hours to go through the pictures I've been taking and get them ready to record the days.

We had time to call at the recycling centre and enjoy a bit of sea breeze before G went to school. I thought it would be good to get a shot of the progress of the building that's going on right next to the Burj Al Arab and Jumeirah Beach Hotels.

I then went to visit an ENT specialist for the first time ever with the hope that he will sort out the ringing in my ears that's been bothering me for a few months. The consultation didn't last too long and I came away with both my ears being cleared of wax but the ringing is still there, though not as bad.

I picked G up and then the day didn't go as expected. Her 2:45 student didn't show up on Zoom and her class in the evening got cancelled as well which was great because we were able to go to the Volvo and get the licence plates off it. The time has come to de-register it. I have to do that in order to complete the registration of the Peugeot. (One of the quirks of this place... it was either that or put the Volvo back on the road which is impossible at the moment).

We went straight to the registration centre and got it done. It cost a bit (mostly in fines) but it's done and I am really pleased. The whole week is free now and I can concentrate on other things that need to be finished.

We had a little stroll along the Creek before finally getting home. The weather has turned and it is very pleasant making walking outdoors a viable activity.

The first extra is to have a bit of "pink" for October. It is the new development where the clinic is. The access to the underground car park is from this back road. The second extra was taken by G when we stopped at the traffic light. This new building is having its windows washed. I don't know who thought up this new system of having men dangle like that, but it seems to be the way curtain walls get washed these days. :(
