Buds

A dull but dry morning saw us shopping early, arriving just after nine at M & S in Guiseley. No queue so timing good again. Hoping that’s my last pre Christmas shop. Chris will collect an order nexts week and go to the butchers in the village as well as getting last minute fresh produce.

Chris then went to do a Food Bank shop in Bingley so he could drop the things off immediately after whilst I joined in the last zoom singing session of the year with the ATN choir.
It started to rain whilst singing so decided against a trip to meet my friend in Saltaire again. That’s three poor weather Fridays in a row!

So I’ve turned to the garden for a blip. Buds on the two Hellebores near the kitchen door and the first tiny yellow bud showing on the Hamamelis, non yet on the red one we replaced this year,

There are shoots of bulbs coming up too, though some are hidden under foliage that hasn’t been finished off by frost yet this year.

It’s the weekend and in normal times a very busy one being the last before Christmas, but as we and a large part of the country are in tier three restrictions I don’t think there will be that much going on but we do have a final Christmas zoom quiz with  Harden Players tomorrow evening. That and the Strictly final is about as good as it gets!
Enjoy your weekend blippers
