Nightmare

Mono Monday: (Off Theme) Nightmare

I came across this sculpture while out walking today.  I have not seen it before.  It makes a striking mono shot so I've gone with it although I don't think you could in any way describe it as being "romantic" :-)

Its definitely scarier in large ....(!)

Although yesterday evening the forecasters were suggesting we would have snow, they had changed their minds this morning and the most we have seen is some brief snow in the wind.  But like everyone else, we've really noticed the wind and the associated chill factor.

I took a route up to the Cotswold ridge and walked a couple of miles of the Cotswold Way before looping back for home  It was bleak up there as it is very exposed,  but it was refreshing too and there were great views.  My route was slightly longer than planned as I missed the footpath I wanted to join, but no harm was done.

The temperature didn't actually get above freezing today, and there was a fair bit of ice around.  I came across a little waterfall with some striking icicles which I've included as an extra.
