A day in the life

Meltdown

It's been quite an eventful day.  A large part of the morning and a small part of the evening has been spent on recording and editing music for Halima, the Iraqi friends song.

In the afternoon I had time to do some errands in the nearest town, buying a "semla", the sweet, wheat bun with almond cream and whipped cream on top, really unhealthy but it tastes good. Today is the day when you are supposed to eat one. The weather has been very nice, partly sunny and the view over the strait to the mainland was amazing.

All these impressions didn't produce one single blip! I was probably too absorbed by the impressions and forgot to blip. I almost panicked when getting home right before dark and thought; what has been significant for today that can be a blip.

Today is the first day when the rising temperature and the sun has made the snow start to melt. It's dripping everywhere and I could see the ice withdrawing on my porch, leaving a trail of moist behind. The first hint of a winterspring day.
