Watersports

Of the perfectly decent and legitimate variety.

I’ve had a quite lovely day, spending most of the morning walking with OT along the Union Canal and then along the Water of Leith in Colinton Dell. I didn’t take that many photographs, as it was fairly grey and anyway, it was not exactly a photo walk, but a much needed chance to catch up.

Having cycled to Harrison Park for the meet up (and obviously home again afterwards), I was actually quite pooped. While I do a lot of ‘exercise’ in the sense of getting hot and sweaty on my spinning bike or with the dumbbells in Mr A’s office, and I do walk an average of 10k steps a day, I don’t ever really do much that requires proper stamina, like a decent cycle, followed by a walk, followed by a fairly lazy cycle home (most of it is downhill). I think it’s also the shock of engaging more thoroughly with another human, which I’m also completely out of practice at.

Anyway, I didn’t do a huge amount this afternoon when I got back, although I carried on editing a document for a while, and then cooked dinner. We’re just about to jump on a zoom with Bb and Dd in Barcelona. It will also be great to catch up with them.

I always like to see rowers. I rowed quite a bit from the age of 18 for about 10 years. It may be what did for my knees.... The location is approximate as I wasn’t paying attention to where we were.
