Friends catch up

It was an eventful day at work. I got some work done early, and then my WiFi connection went a bit off around 9am, saying poor connection, and at 9.30 for our regular meeting i could barely stay connected in order to hear what was being said. I struggled on with it for another 30 minutes, then turned everything off, including the hub, and started again. Eventually after an hour of disruption (Jon said it was the weather) it settled down and I was able to get on.

I managed to get everything I needed done, with a break for lunch, and I finished at 4.40. I drove over to my colleague Lucy's house, who lives in the next village to deliver some seeds. I have sent everyone in the team sunflower seeds so that we can have a challenge this summer to see who can grow the tallest. For those without gardens, I'm going to plant them a seed each on my allotment. It was nice to see Lucy. It makes me, all the more, want to meet up again and socialise. Soon, hopefully we can do that.

Which takes me to 6pm when I met up with these gorgeous girls. Some of the best friends I've ever made, who I first met September 1984 at Chester H.E. College. We were all in the same hall, Astbury. We've been friends ever since, and are really missing our annual reunion in the flesh! So hoping for a London meet up in June. But this was nice. We all discussed when our covid jabs are booked for - having either recently, or are very nearly turning 55.

Then i relaxed with my weekly g&t to do nothing. Just TV. Relaxed. Genuinely nothing. Ok. Perhaps not absolutely nothing, but not much, anyway ;-)
