Sunshine and Shadows

Summer returned again today although not before a battle with quite dismal lingering cloud.
During the cloudy part, I had a big adventure when I took the tram to the west of the city centre to visit a school friend. The one tram line in the city is usually of no use to me, going as it does from the city centre to the airport, but today it was wonderful to travel 4 stops through a busy area without any traffic hindrance. More importantly, because there is no traffic interference, the trams run like clockwork.

We had a very sociable get together in her garden room, almost obeying the current restrictions. The next time we meet there is a chance that hospitality will have opened up and we will be back in the Ivy.

With the sunshine, the crocuses have thrown caution to the wind and become expansive and free, opening wide to the sun, while the daffodils make carpets of yellow everywhere.
