Goosey, goosey

Another canal walk this morning on the Leeds Liverpool canal between Bingley and Crossflatts. We saw lots of geese, a mixture of domestic white geese and Greylags.

Two were nesting on the far side of the canal, it’s that time of year, as you can see in the blip. The white one was quite well hidden amongst the branches, you should be able to spot it in the lower right photo, the other less so but still a good nest. There were a lot with a mix of white feathers and markings not sure if they are mixed breeds but they were all together.

We returned via the Five Rise cafe for a morning coffee and the took the path that skirts Bingley North Bog which was unusually dry underfoot.

Back home in time for FaceTime with Grace to see Jude having her lunch. She seems very interested in her food now she is being weaned and can certainly use a spoon but I’m not sure how much she is actually eating!
