An ordinary life....

Communing with nature...

Today is a good day!  :-))

Our First Minister announced at lunch time that some lockdown restrictions are being relaxed earlier than planned.  That means from this Friday 17th April, six people from six households can meet up outside, including in private gardens.

Within minutes of this being announced I received a text from Nikki asking about having a bbq this weekend.  We've been planning it for weeks but thought we would have to wait until the beginning of May.

The afternoon was then spent in a three way conversation with Nikki and Ele, the outcome of which is Andrew, Nikki and Esme and Ele and Kenny will come to ours on Saturday for a garden visit and lunch time BBQ.  I am over the moon!  We haven't seen any of them since September!

The weather forecast is dry but on the cool side.  There will be heat from the BBQ and the fire pit and a load of blankets.  If they get too cold, they can sit in the Gin Palace as they are an extended household as Ele & Kenny provide childcare for Esme.

My head is now in major food planning mode. Think I'll make Empire biscuits as a celebratory treat :-))

Had a quick wander in the side garden.  The hellebore is almost past its best but there were some flower heads and beautiful leaves.  The jasmine and honeysuckle are in leaf and the clematis is showing signs of h]leaf and flower bud.  It all felt really positive :-)
