Natural Infinity Pool

We both spent a lot of today working on the translation.  Jan had done the main job, but sometimes you become a bit lost after working for a long time on a phrase or sentence. So my job was to read straight through the English version, watching out for "clunky" sections and making suggestions for improvement. It's a method we've often used before and tends to produce a text the customer is very happy with, but it takes time (which as we all know is money) so Jan only gets customers who care more for quality than cost.
Anyway, having spent most of this delightful day staring at screens we had to get out into the weather so we phoned a few friends and headed for the beach at Smitingen. Ruth and Mikael took the chance to get out too and we wandered across the beach and then out along the rocks at the side of the bay.
This pool is perched about 10 metres above the sea but was reflecting both the clear sky and the small trees growing along the side. The extra is the same pool, but to get that image I'm standing on the low rocks at the end of the pool, with my back to the sea, looking inland.
We sat around talking and enjoying the sun-warmed rocks until hunger drove us back to the cars. We picked up a Thai take-away and ate it at Rose's. Then we sat there until late in the evening, Rose and Jan enjoying a bottle of wine, while I, designated driver, enjoyed some tap water!
As we drove home it was about 11.30 but there was still a band of light along the northern horizon.  We have a couple more weeks of seeing stars in the night sky before the white nights are upon us.
