Rainy family tea party

Thanks to the easing of travel restrictions, today I was reunited with my middle sister and brother-in-law after 7 months of no face-to-face contact: I last saw them on September 11th 2020.) Despite the cold and wet, we had a wonderful 1.5 hour tea party together in our yarden. Paddy (their son) and Caitlin joined us. Our visitors were very impressed with the (complete if only we had grass) garden makeover.

Most of my day was dedicated to the arrival of the visitors. For the tea part I baked cherry scones, date and apple flapjacks, and milk and white chocolate brownies. Mr hazelh and I also took a very wet walk to Old Calton Cemetery this morning.

I am very sad that my extended Easter holiday is over and that I have to return to work tomorrow.

Exercise today: walking (11,650 steps); 45 minutes on the exercise bike.
