Nicky and her Nikon

Wisteria

This morning was the last session on the colour control workshop. I have learnt a lot about Photoshop techniques, and although I made notes and we have been given a recording of the video of our sessions, I need to practice it to make sure I understand all of it. Today was very useful as we each submitted three of our own images that were of similar colours and tones and discussed how to get the same colour grades across all three images so that we have a uniform body of work. I submitted some of my Antarctica landscapes and was pleased with the feedback I received. The way you photograph and then edit an image is of course one's own personal choice of how you see your images, and how you wish to present them, so it was interesting to see how the five of us on the course all had such different styles and images. I have been motivated to work on some images for a possible ARPS panel but we will see how that goes.

While I was on the course Xena had a brilliant time out with her doggy pals and P the dog walker. He had the 'ginger' squad today, three Vizslas, one red fox lab and one ginger labradoodle! He always sends me photos and videos from the walk and they made such a lovely colour coordinated group today!

I never had much time to take photos today as after the course finished I had to go get some groceries, and now I am trying to rewrite my notes from this morning. This wisteria in our garden has just come into bloom - its a new plant so each year I get more flowers on it. Last year I only had about three 'bunches' but there are a few more this year.

Not great weather for the weekend and we have plans tomorrow that involves being outdoors!
