Marjorie's ramblings

First walks with up to 30

I was with the Intermediate walkers again today. The leader had been worried in case too many people arrived, but, in the event, we were only 12. It was a good number to walk with. The weather was perfect and we had great views across the South Tyne valley, south of the Lambley viaduct.

There was an enormous grey cloud threatening us in the afternoon, but no rain fell which was good news.

We went back to the Manor pub in Haltwhistle and were joined by one of the long walking groups. Tony had lead a 10.5 mile walk. This is Pippa who was feeling the cool wind and snuggled into her jacket.

I had my iPhone camera today. I wasn't happy with the results. The highlights were all blown out and the skies looked artificial. I had to put Pippa into mono and then add a tint because of the blown highlights on her face.

It was SO WONDERFUL to see so many friends today.

Also, one of our group received a phone call at the end of the walk to say that a bone scan was normal. No secondaries to be seen. What a great end to the day.
