Celebrations

Normally the Newcast and Fortunately podcast send me to sleep When I wake on the middle of the night. Not last night, I was well into the not R3 music mixes before I got off.

Today we had multiple celebrations at Prestonfield. First, my birthday lunch that was cancelled in January, #3 son's new job, # 1 girlfriend's new job in the Film and TV section and of course, at a distance, #2 son's 35th birthday. He arrived in a rush in Inverurie Maternity Hospital all these years ago, a midwife delivery.

We had a lovely meal and a good catch up though the service was less than 5 star. And the hospitality trade are still stuck with the outdated and inaccurate info that Covid is spread on things by touch so I had the nonsense of having to wear gloves to handle an actual wine list as the digital version would not function. Oh, that someone would update the advice, and while they are at it get rid of the temperature checking nonsense too.

After the meal we walked a little to see the peacocks and observe a wedding that was taking place in the grounds with string quartet.

Home to do a wee bit tidying of the building site, finish some domestic tasks and now watching Gregory Fitoussi and Thierry Godard on Walter Presents.
