Entrances

No rain, and a much brighter day than yesterday.  My dodgy knee has been playing up this past week so while BB was at rugby training and TT was helping at church, I went for a  walk around the block before going for a 5km run.  My knee felt ok though it has never felt totally better, but hopefully it will ok.  It was then home to get organised and sort out a picnic.
As ever we left later than planned and headed down the A1, away from the sunshine and blue skies and into thick grey clouds.  We felt like we were going in the wrong direction.  We met up with TT’s sister and husband at Paxton House, where we had a socially distanced picnic and generally did our best to keep warm.  Auntie E had brought a few treats for BB, and they disappeared fast!  We had a walk through the garden and grounds and headed along to the Union Chain Bridge – which is missing (see extra) in action as it is being completely refurbished/rebullt!  It is being refurbished and it is very strange seeing the gap where the bridge should be.  The Honey Farm is shut, but just as well as we couldn’t have got there without swimming!
We wandered back to the cars and enjoyed another helping of picnic goodies, and the sun made an appearance, so it was a bit warmer.  BB wanted to be home for 6pm, as he had a date with something on his Xbox, so we went our separate ways.  It was lovely to see them after so long.  We last saw them when we met up at Paxton last August.
Once home I rustled up some pizza and salad and later TT and I watched Bohemian Rhapsody.
This is called Entrances, and in is the grounds of Paxton House,  I like the fresh green ferns.
