Dean Village

We are in Edinburgh for a short visit.

The apartment in which we are staying is very central and convenient, but we decided this afternoon to walk away from the usual tourist attractions towards this 19th century village to the west.  Built on the Water of Leith, this village once had 11 water powered mills producing flour for Edinburgh bakeries.

Although nowhere near as crowded as the main attractions, like the Royal Mile, we did see a few visitors here - like us, with cameras.

Back blipped after my return home as I did not have access to a computer while away.
