Life in Sunny Dubai

Food court

Another day, another mall! We popped in here for an ATM (yes, really - our bank have downsized to the point that this is the closest ATM if you want to deposit money or not pay to withdraw cash!) and to get Rainbow milk, so I can have a cup of tea at home!

As it was lunchtime, we went up to their food court. It wasn't heaving by any stretch of the imagination, but COVID restrictions mean fewer tables with all of them being occupied, most by just one person!

G mentioned the gears of the car weren't changing smoothly so we took it down to the local garage to check the levels. We ended up getting an oil change. We've come to the time of year when temperatures will be in the mid to high forties for months. It takes a toll on cars too!

Whilst waiting in the garage, we met up with Hanson, an acquaintance we've known for several years. He is a salesman, and he talked and talked and talked. We listened because, amongst all the things he was saying, there were one or two things to take note of!

Our friends Susan and Gladson paid us a surprise visit in the evening. They were in the neighbourhood and popped in. How cool is that?! Don't you find, people don't visit anymore? I know COVID restrictions brought an abrupt end to socialising, but even before that time, it wasn't like how I remember it when I was growing up.
