90 Today

90 years ago today, back in 1931 Dad was born.  Another 25 years on and he and Mum got married, so today would have been their 65th Wedding Anniversary.  Sadly Mum is no longer with us, but as you can see from today's blip Dad very much is.  

Given all the restrictions on care home visits it really was a bit of triumph for my siblings and I, and our better halves, and grandchildren Will and Chris to be able to visit Dad today.  We got to see him blow out the candles on his cake (which he managed, although it was a bit of a cheat as there were only 2 candles not the full 90).   

Dad now suffers from Parkinsons disease, and was in a wheelchair for our visit.  But he seemed in good form and there was even a little humorous repartee and some jokes at his children's expense.
