Stag Beetle

Found on the terrace this morning , a lesser stag beetle. Am sure the guys doing the terrace thought I was a bit mad kidnapping/rescuing it but we never usually get one here. Quite strange really. 

An afternoon at the hospital. Things could be better but things could be a lot worse too.
