Willow

Running along the river the other day, it suddenly felt like I’d entered a winter wonderland. And the surface under my feet went from tarmac to feeling something more like a feather pillow!
This was, of course, due to the multitude of Willow trees growing by the river, which were busily spreading their seeds. It was stunning to look at, but I didn’t have time to stop and take a photo then, so went back today to capture the scene.
And, with the horse race meeting starting soon, it was time to hightail it out of Dodge and back to Kendal. Mind you, the traffic on the M6 - especially around the Blackpool junction - would suggest I was definitely not alone in heading north this morning.
Straight to the supermarket when we got home as we’d emptied the fridge before we went down to Chester. And then the afternoon was spent loading Mrs C’s car ready for a boot sale in the morning. It’ll be an early night tonight as we need to get there early if we want a decent pitch.
Should still have time to fit in a quick gym session though - three days away and I’m raring to get in there and throw some weights around.
And then it’s just a case of avoiding the wall to wall football that the tv companies think is all we want to watch for the next month. Thankfully we’ve recorded a lot of films and box sets which should see us through the tournament - depending on how long England last, of course!
