Aquilegia

Abit of an emergency blip.  For some reason I didn't pick up the camera until the evening.   I know I was busy but really not that busy.

So the blip is a shot of an Aquilegia(also known as Columbine) grabbed from the garden.  Aquilegia are northern hemisphere plants found when wild in meadows and woodlands.  This one was growing in Clickychick's "woodland garden".   It is named Aquilegia from the latin Aquila and eagle.  Supposedly the hooks on the back of the petals are reminiscent of an Eagle's claws.
