The Saints Way, Padstow - Lanivet

I'm in Padstow on the north coast of Cornwall and our group of 25, including 2 Explorers Connect leaders, are beginning our walk to Fowey on the south coast.

We're following The Saints Way,  an ancient route taken by pilgrims from Ireland to France, and then onwards to holy sites in Europe and beyond.

My journey from Derby to Padstow was busy, there was a lot of traffic but at least we were always moving, which is more than can be said for the M5 northbound!

I'm using my two man Vango tent, which goes up really easily... but I think I prefer my other tents because I can sit up without my head denting the roof! It's six years since I used it and I'd forgotten, but it is the smallest and lightest of my tents.

We began our walk yesterday evening by dipping our toes into the sea at Padstow, and then started the route properly this morning, ending the day at a campsite near Lanivet... lovely showers!
