Choughs

We’re at the Lleyn Peninsula for a couple of nights. Our B&B is only taking regulars at the moment and we’re the only guests so it feels very safe.

On a cliff top walk we were pleased to see a flock of choughs including this insistent youngster. They’re not found in many parts of the UK but the Welsh coast is their stronghold.

Their curved red beak digs insects from the ground and they have flashy red legs too. My extra photo is a meadow pipit.
