A Day In The Life

The Morning After

We delayed our garden tour until late morning to allow the sun to dry off the lawn and other surfaces after yesterday’s heavy rain. Not having wind made all the difference in what could have been a destructive storm • Potted plants have been moved back to their sunny places, trenches carved through garden beds from water runoff are gone and deadheading of waterlogged blossoms complete • MrsP is holding the zucchini and yellow squash we picked today plus one shishito pepper. A bountiful harvest, indeed! My plan is to stir fry them with onion, garlic, and diced tomatoes, then generously cover the leftover rice we had last night. A quick, fresh, and yummy meal :) • Did you notice the white cabbage moth on the rim of the pepper planter? • I hope you’re all enjoying your weekend too!
