Figwort family

Verbascum thapsus - Scrophularia nodosa

Mulleins are members of the figwort family.  This is Great or Common Mullein (Verbascum thapsus) found in the course of my walk.  Right now there's a lot of it  round here, so I'm pretty sure that's the right ID though its leaves don't look quite downy enough.  In Extras is Common Figwort (Scrophularia nodosa) found down by the canal.  Odd to think they share a family, they're not very alike.
