Fire and Rescue Services

I went along with Susan and sat in the car while she went to the osteopath this morning as afterwards we’ve went on to research and test new beds. Good improvement again today. Feeling much better although my leg isn’t looking any prettier!

The roads around town were a zoo owing to a major road being closed for water repairs. As we drove into town (drove, I say, drove) we heard about a major fire in the town centre which has all but destroyed a restaurant and nightclub. Thankfully, nobody was injured nor were any of the surrounding buildings.

That part of town was cordoned off and buzzing with fire and rescue services and police. It’ll take some time to sort that lot out. We saw the reporter who was at the Council meeting last night hard at work reporting on events.

Maidstone was also in the news on Sunday night after the end of the football. It sounded like it was anarchy in the town centre.
