White feather

The rain and thunder arrived at last but not until 4.00 pm and it has remained very warm.
First stop today had to be Coppice Pond to feed the ducks and the now huge cygnets. Eda can do this easily by herself but had rather a close encounter with one of last years juveniles - extra. Although it shocked her a bit she was still complaining when we ran out of duck and swan food but there were people arriving with huge bags of bread ( naughty) so they weren’t going to go hungry.

We continued to walk around the pond when this lovely big swan feather was found. Eda loved it and I rather like this shot of her waving it silhouetted against the pond behind.

After our circuit we headed to the Ivy Kitchen for a coffee and warm milk for Eda. We asked to go into the outdoor area at the rear as the tables had umbrellas but we only felt a few spots of rain at that time.

The charging has started today for parking near the pond. There was a traffic warden when we came back to the car, Grace had paid on her app but the lady said she was just issuing warnings for the first two weeks but it definitely looks like they are going to keep an eye on folks parking and not paying.

We had intended going into the village this afternoon and maybe to the park but Jude was having her nap when it came on to rain quite heavily but Eda did manage to go into the garden for a swing rain or not.

A lovely day together.
