Trimingham cliffs

It has been a very wet day today, but late on it seemed as if there was a break in the rain, so Jon and I tried to go for a walk on Trimingham beach. That had been the plan, although we had never been there before, I know it is a good beach to find fossils on. When we arrived, we realised that there wasn't a way down to the beach that we could see, or any parking. Every path we took, ended at a crumbling cliff edge, with recent movement and lots of land slipped. We decided we could only access it by walking along from Sidestrand, so will have to plan ato do that one Saturday.

When we got home, it started to rain, and then a huge thunder storm moved in. So a very wet afternoon and no prospect of getting out. Where has our summer gone?

Cooked roast pork for dinner, then started to sew my patchwork onto an old sheet. Very hard to pin it flat, so may need adjusting later. Decided I had done enough, and had a nice long bath. Have a busy week ahead, with a drive to Hoddesdon after work tomorrow so I hope it isn't too wet!
