Cool and Wet

Puddles everywhere
were a welcome sight today -
we still wish for more!

I was late getting out this morning. I'd had a look out the window before 5 and decided to go back to bed. Up again just after 7 so rushed to get out there to get blipping.

It was a mere 13 C when I arrived at Vantage Point near the airport at 7:30. Photography was limited as it's still raining. My mountains are grey and damp. Air quality has improved to 2 (low risk) and is a great relief. No burning eyes today.

I am hopeful this wet 24 hours gives some improvement to our wildfire efforts. We will need a whole lot more rain to compensate for the drought.

Our provincial Premier is being called out for taking a holiday in eastern Canada while the province burns. I don't think he's going to hear the end of that blunder for some time.

Meanwhile our Prime Minister has called a federal election for September 20th. Most feel this is an unnessary exercise during a pandemic. It's believed he's just playing his cards to get another term. He thinks he's going to get an endorsement for their handling of the pandemic.

It will be another inside day. A high of 25 C is expected.
