MONO MONDAY - NEGATIVE SPACE

We thought we had lost this beautiful Astra Nova Clematis last year, but suddenly, it seems to have revived and is now doing very well.  It is a beautiful purple, which as many of you will know, is my favourite colour, so it was hard turning it to mono for today’s challenge.  However, I think this fits the bill and if not, at least I have tried but I must confess, I would be devastated if there were no colour in the world!

I have just spent a lovely couple of hours in the garden, doing more dead-heading and collecting hollyhock seeds to send off to various friends while Mr. HCB was mowing the grass and sending little frogs on their way rejoicing!  When he strims the final third of the grass, I have suggested he “beats” it first to make sure that the frogs have time to move rather than mangle them in the strimmer.

A grey day, but not too cold, so we did sit out in the garden and have our coffee and may even sit out there for lunch.  Mr. HCB is hoping that the weather is a tad warmer tomorrow when he goes to cricket but as long as it’s not raining, he doesn’t really mind.

Apologies for not commenting last night - there was too much on the TV!  We have heard hat Vigil was good and we enjoyed Vera, so need to try and watch Vigil later this afternoon before the second episode this evening or perhaps we will just let it record and then binge watch all of it on a rainy day.

P.S.  An update on my 100 Abstracts Challenge - the total for which has risen again to £1,200!  I just can't believe how generous people have been and want to thank you all so much - it will make such a difference in the lives of the impoverished girls in North Malawi, who, with the help of the Mamie Martin Fund, will be able to obtain a good secondary school education.  YOU ARE ALL AMAZING!
